THE JSS-Reformists shot dead Sunil Bikash Tripura alias Kathang, a
UPDF organizer, in Panchari yesterday, Sunday.
The 38-year-old, son of Sukhendu Tripura, was shot at 10:30 a.m.
when he went to a shop in his Moratila village under Ultachari Union.
‘The miscreants opened fire indiscriminately as soon as he came
out of the shop, killing him instantly’, one eyewitness said.
Another person named Ananta Tripura, 25, son of Sotto Ranjan
Tripura, was also wounded in the attack.
Ananta, a Hindu priest at Eskon Temple, has been admitted to
Khagrachari Sadar hospital.
The attack came six days after the murder of Surjo Bikash Chakma
by army-backed JSS Reformsits in Doya Mohan Karbari Para village in Khagrachari
district.
