THREE-YEAR old Bengali girl was allegedly raped by a teenager in the village of Gilachari in Kaokhali, Rangamati on Wednesday, 30 January, reports
The Daily Purbokone, published from Chittagong.
Quoting the victim’s mother, the
paper in its today’s issue said that on Wednesday afternoon she and her husband
had gone to a nearby jungle to gather firewood, leaving the child at home
alone.
Taking advantage of the absence
of the girl’s parents, a 14-year old boy Hazrat Ali, son of Shoraf Uddin, of
the same village, lured her up a hill and then raped her.
When her mother went up there
hearing her scream, Hazrat Ali ran away.
Then the mother took the girl
first to Kaokhali Health Complex in the evening and then admitted her to Rangamati General Hospital.
