THE army on Saturday
conducted house-to-house searches in Birchandra Member Para of Gorjontoli under
Burigahat Union in Naniachar Upazila, Rangamati district.
A group of army
personnel from Naniachar zone carried out the search at 11 a. m. today.
A masked man, believed
to be a member of the Nobyo Mukhosh Bahini vigilante group, accompanied the
army during the operation.
The army said they
were searching for ‘terrorists’.
The houses so far
searched belong to Boloram Chakma, Chandra Mohan Chakma (1), Chandra Mohan
Chakma (2),Jubo Chakma, Purno Chandra Chakma, Nolini Chakma, Smriti Chakma,
Meiye Dhan Chakma and Porikya Chakma.
